10 Most Underrated Sneakers in 2026 (That Deserve More Love)

As two sneakerheads who can spend hours talking about new trends, unknown models and hyped collaborations, we thought it was time to share some of our expertise with you.

Especially with Michael being the former self-proclaimed number one salesman of Foot Locker, so our credentials are obviously rock solid.

Because let’s be honest, you probably don’t want to wear the same sneakers everyone else is already wearing on the streets.

So, here are our top 10 most underrated sneakers of 2026.

1. New Balance 1906R

New Balance

Although you still spot them here and there, in our opinion the New Balance 1906R is still the number one sleeper pick of 2026.

The quality and materials are excellent, the comfort is top tier, and the silhouette works with almost everything. From denim to shorts, this pair is incredibly versatile.

Whether you’re walking all day, heading into the city or going out at night, the New Balance 1906R delivers on comfort and style.

That’s why it takes our number one spot.

2. Nike P-6000

P-6000 Nike

Okay okay, we already hear you thinking, “The Nike P-6000 is trending right now guys.”

Fair point. But in our opinion, the Nike P-6000 still deserves way more respect.

This is one of the most comfortable Nike sneakers out right now, with a technical early-2000s running inspired design that feels fresh again in 2026.

It’s lightweight, easy to style and honestly, when it comes to sneakers to wear with shorts, the Nike P-6000 is hard to beat.

Still underrated in our eyes.

3. Jordan 1

Jordan 1

In my opinion, the Air Jordan 1 is hands down the best sneaker model of all time.

It combines heritage, culture and one of the strongest designs ever put on a sneaker. From the iconic Wings logo to the endless list of memorable colorways and collaborations, the Air Jordan 1 remains relevant in every era.

Even after all these years, that Wings logo still gives me goosebumps.

And let’s be honest, very few sneakers can say they changed both basketball culture and fashion culture the way the Air Jordan 1 did.

I honestly don’t care if no one is wearing this model for the next few years… I still will be.

4. Air max 1

Air max 1

Come on… this is basically the national anthem of the Netherlands when it comes to sneakers.

The Nike Air Max 1 is one of the most innovative and cleanest sneaker designs ever made. It combines timeless design with everyday versatility in a way very few models can.

Whether you wear them with denim, trousers or shorts, the Nike Air Max 1 always works.

And thanks to the visible Air cushioning, it’s not just good looking, it’s also perfect for a city stroll or a full day of walking.

Patta helped bring fresh energy back to the silhouette again with their collaborations, and hopefully we’ll see general releases catching more hype soon.

A true classic that never really left.

5. Saucony Grid Jazz 9 Jae Tips

Michael, your turn. Show them why you were the self proclaimed Jordan Belfort of Foot Locker.

6. Nike Total 90

Nike

Back in the day, after seeing Ronaldinho in those iconic early 2000s Nike ads wearing the Nike Total 90, I immediately told my parents I needed a pair.

And honestly, I think I spent most of my childhood wearing some version of them.

Now that Nike has finally decided to bring these beauties back, the timing feels perfect. With renewed nostalgia around Ronaldinho and football culture influencing fashion more than ever, we can definitely see the Nike Total 90 gaining serious hype again in 2026.

Expect to see more fashion forward people rocking these soon.

A true childhood classic making a deserved comeback.

7. Salomon Xt-6

Mister Belfort, report again please, your turn again!

8. Nike SB Dunks

Nike sb dunks

Starting in the skate community, the Nike SB Dunk grew into one of the most iconic sneakers in both streetwear and sneaker culture.

For well over a decade, it was mainly loved by die hard collectors, skaters and people who were really tapped into the scene. It stayed relatively underground for years.

Then came the massive boom during 2020, 2021 and 2022, when the Nike SB Dunk exploded into the mainstream.

Collaborations like the Nike SB Dunk Low StrangeLove, Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low and Ben & Jerry's x Nike SB Dunk Low Chunky Dunky pushed the model into a completely different league.

As often happens, once hype reaches the mainstream, many longtime collectors started to move on.

Now that the hype has cooled down again, the Nike SB Dunk feels more authentic and under the radar once more.

And with fashion trends always cycling back around, we definitely see this model making a strong return in the near future.

Either way… we’re still wearing them.

9. Adidas Gazelle City Series Bad Bunny

As a nike head, i leave all of the Adidas stuff over to Michael haha!

10. Jordan 5

Jordan 5

I honestly can’t understand why the Air Jordan 5 has never received the hype it deserves.

In our opinion, this is one of the most underrated Jordan silhouettes out there. From the iconic shark tooth detailing on the midsole to the lace locks and bold overall shape, the Air Jordan 5 has serious character.

It’s a sneaker with presence.

We get it, it can be a little harder to style than a Jordan 1 or a more minimal pair, but when worn right it looks incredible. Think parachute pants, cargos, baggy denim or shorts.

The Air Jordan 5 thrives with bigger silhouettes and confident styling.

Maybe the retail price above €200 plays a role. Maybe it’s because influencers aren’t wearing them every week.

Either way, we hope this article shines a little more light on a model that deserves way more respect.
